As women I believe we inherently have what is called a Mother's touch. This is, to me, is the ability to see the unseen and instinctively lend a helping hand. It's the ability to see potential where it isn't always obvious. It's a willingness and a mission to keep others safe from physical and emotional harm.
We've learned first hand how tricky Mother's Day can be for so many. We've discovered that service is the best way to heal our own hearts!
Our goal is to offer an opportunity to lighten someone else's burden and help the hearts that are broken.
Our blankets are donated to women transitioning into life outside of the Utah State Prison.
We are aware of the incredible projects that support women and families around Mother's Day. Our project is unique in that it offers love and warmth to a population whose needs are often over looked.
We work to select new, soft, and bright colored blankets for the women we are serving. Often times, these blankets are among the first possessions they will own as they integrate back into society.
Each blanket is accompanied by an anonymous, encouraging, hand written card.
